About
Multiple myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells, a type of white blood cell, which can lead to bone pain, anemia, kidney problems, and frequent infections as it worsens. Mezigdomide is an oral drug that works by modifying a cellular recycling system to tag specific disease-causing proteins for destruction. By degrading these proteins in cancerous plasma cells, the treatment could potentially slow the progression of the disease.
Pivotal trial
The purpose of the study is to compare Mezigdomide (CC-92480/BMS-986348) with carfilzomib and dexamethasone (MeziKD) against carfilzomib and dexamethasone (Kd) in the treatment of RRMM: SUCCESSOR-2.
