About
IgA nephropathy is a kidney disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks the kidney's filtering units, causing inflammation that can spread to other organs. Atacicept is a lab-made protein that blocks two immune signals (BLyS and APRIL) that trigger harmful antibody production. By targeting these signals, the drug may slow the kidney damage that leads to organ complications.
