Mimrylo is an injectable drug that lowers the number of red blood cells in people with polycythemia vera, a rare blood cancer. Today the FDA approved Mimrylo to reduce the need for patients to have blood drawn to manage their condition. The FDA "recommends that patients on Mimrylo be monitored for iron deficiency" during treatment.
